June 2007 Update:

As most know by now, We were able to sign another year's lease. Why ? Because of the Labors, sense of Duty, and attention to matters of the purse by Our Scarlet Woman Lodge Members. HooYah ! You are truly appreciated.

Near the end of the original letter that follows, I stated, "We can do this." Well, my Sister & Brother Magickians - We darned sure did. Made manifest into Malkuth, what We conceived in Tiphareth. Hmmmm Tastes like Magick; smells like Magick ? Your continued support Wills to be appreciated.

An open letter to the Scarlet Woman Lodge community:

This letter is intended to provide you, Our SWL community, with an accurate understanding of our financial status on an ongoing basis. We will continue to provide you with updates on a regular basis. Our current situation is that we have enough in our accounts to cover our expenses through the first quarter 2007. After that, we have pledges (but not cash in hand, as some pledges have yet to be fulfilled) sufficient to carry us up through the end of our lease period on the Temple, 31 May 2007. Whether we continue to lease the temple depends upon our financial status at that point.

By getting rid of the storage space and water service, and cutting back our newsletter publication to a simpler format, we will reduce this to:

This represents a total required income of approximately 40 dues units, inclusive of the 12 we are projecting, an increase of 28 additional dues units needed. While this seems aggressive, it is entirely possible, if Our local body membership wills it. We already have received promises from several current members of an additional 5 dues units ($100/mo) each. When a few more members contribute an additional 2, 3, 4, or more dues units each, those who are not currently dues-current contribute, we will achieve this goal. If not, we will give up the temple space and possibly be re-classified by Grand Lodge as an Oasis and not a Lodge. The choice is Ours.

When we meet our goal of 40 total dues units by 08 April 2007, I will sign another year’s lease. This gives Us 93+ days to generate Our needed funds for 2007.

We can do this.
