An open letter to the Scarlet Woman Lodge Community

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

It is tyme for Our 2008 Dues/Pledges Drive. We have, as a Team, always met Our financial goals; We have been able to keep Our Temple lease for 2 years; we now prepare to do it again, for a 3rd year.

This letter is intended to provide you, the Scarlet Woman Lodge Community, with an accurate understanding of our financial status on an ongoing basis. We will continue to provide you with updates on a regular basis. Our current situation is that we have enough in our accounts to cover our expenses through the middle of this year.

We currently have funds enough to carry us to 31 May 2008, the end of the lease period on Our Temple. Whether we continue to lease the temple depends upon Our financial status at that point. Once we have our 2008/2009 funds able to pay for another year, I shall sign another year's lease. Our Dues/Pledges drive ends 06 May 2008; this is Our decision point. This is when Our lease is due for renewal.

Last year, by getting rid of the storage space and water service, and cutting back our newsletter publication to a simpler format, we reduced Our monthly operating expenses to:

Total expenses, (rounded off):	$800

This represents a total required income of approximately 40 dues units. With the 8.5 dues units we currently have, an additional 31.5 dues units are all We need. While this seems aggressive, it is entirely possible. We already have received pledges/promises from several current Members of additional dues units. By getting a few more Members to contribute an additional 1, 2, 3, 4, or more dues units each, and encouraging those who are not currently dues-current to contribute, we will achieve this goal... again.

One ‘dues unit’ = one Member’s annual dues = $20/month
($240.00 per year)

When we meet our goal of 40 total dues units by 06 May 2008, I will sign another year's lease. This gives Us 93+ days to generate Our needed funds for 2008. We can do this thing... again. We have the technology.
